Hi I'm Carlos, a second generation Barber/Stylist.
One crisp January morning in 1994, my mom said, "let's go for a drive." Little did I know that "that drive" would be the start of my lifelong career. That day she enrolled me in Barber College in San Diego, CA. Not knowing if barbering was my calling, I stayed in college, completed my courses, graduated and worked for my mom (a first generation Stylist) in our first hair salon/barber shop in Encanto, CA. Three months later I was on my own looking for the new horizons in cutting hair here and there and after months of searching I partnered with my mother and opened our second barber shop (National Barber Shop) in San Diego, CA. Six years later, I decided to leave the shop to the family to go solo and open up my own barber shop (Rite Cut Barber Shop) in Encinitas, CA. It is here where I learned that barbering was not only a job, it was a career, a passion and most rewardingly...I was making a difference in people. When I go to visit my mom's shop, I become overcome with emotion when young teenagers greet me and say "I remember when you used to cut my hair when I was just 5 years old!". After eight years in Encinitas, CA, I now have the privilege to open my fourth Barber Shop (Ritecut Barbers) in Temecula, CA.
